Derby railway station is about 50 metres away from the Hallmark Hotel and there is a bus link from there to East Midlands airport. Birmingham Airport (West Midlands) is also not far away. London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports are also connected to Derby by rail. Derby is on the main direct rail line to London St Pancras, which is London's Eurostar Terminal.

For those travelling by car, Derby is right next to the M1 motorway, which is one of the main routes north from London and the M25. This makes Derby easily accessible from the Eurotunnel car Terminal in Folkestone. The journey time from Calais to Derby is about 5 hours (including Le Shuttle).
